Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis

What is Plantar Fasciitis?

Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammatory disease of a membrane that connects your heel bone to your toes across the bottom of your foot. Excess pressure on plantar fascia from an intense workout or overweight can cause the inflammation. A symptom can be feeling pain in the heel area when taking the first step in the morning or walking after sitting for a long time. Prevention is the key to Plantar Fasciitis because it recurs frequently.

Extracorporeal Shock Wave

Extracorporeal Shock Wave is a non-surgical treatment that increases the amount of blood flow by applying a shock wave on the plantar fascia area. It also alleviates the pain by stimulating the nerve cells.
